the only railgun i recal in TS where on the epic units (Mamooth Mark II, GDI commando) and they where kinda just ass kicking and so far (except the unrealistic limit laser animation) the only realistic effect that a rail gun have on the battlefield

EA's pathetics railgun with an even worst animation (are my tanks shooting water or something?) then they began packing railgun on everything and making them uber unpowerfull

this should be read befor we take any decision

as the tiberium universe is ment to be realistic we should try to keep things that exist close to what they are

performance is a muzzle velocity over 5,800 m/s, accurate enough to hit a 5 meter target over 200 nautical miles (370.4 km) away while firing at 10 shots per minute.

So according to wikipedia, they're basically vehicle-mounted sniper rifles.
