Next Team Meeting

When should it be?

I'm hoping we can have one this weekend to discuss some major design elements of our mod (like which mechanics to use, faction breakdown, class bre... you know what i'm getting at here)

I'd also like to cover the majority of the agenda I had posted for our mini meeting that we did not get to complete, so look over that before we have our meeting.

We need to talk about getting models done and some texturing done, concepts alone will get us no-where


We will use Assault, Defense, Support, etc, similar to C&C4, I believe that we need to push past that and start coding some units and crawlers into the game.

I cant make it till the evening on sat as I have an interview at a university lol. I'm in GMT time zone. I wud suggest 5pm I that would be ok, so 11-12 for the american time zones. but anything past 5pm and im free.

I'm GMT -7 so idk if I will make it at lunch, depends how late or early you can get on

But think about this: if we can get a demo of our concept done with placeholding models (think of it as a public alpha test), then we could get some more supporters with the popularity an actual product will rake in, in turn, possibly expanding our team.

I do agree with you however; people go nuts over eyecandy. Getting some physical proof of our stuff ingame is just as important. I'm just hoping to organize what our in-staff coders need to begin to think about creating and designing, just to get that first push into the playable product. Plus, it's pretty hard to decide what we want in-game if we just create a number of units which might have conflicting mechanics to our game design. First things first on this path: We will need unit/structure/defense lists for all 3 classes (Assault, Defense, and Support) to even decide what to model first.

Think of it this way: When you build a house, do you pour the foundation first, or buy the furnature and decorations?

On another note, I think 9:00 am is a bit early on a saturday, but I'll be there regardless (I'll just have to hit the gym afterwords instead lol)

Okay uhm, 6 PM was like 30 minutes ago right? I'm asking because I was 15 minutes late and there was nobody there so I'm wondering if the meeting was allready over or if I got the time wrong. Or has it been moved?

btw, did you get that hovercraft textured?

cant do it, geometries a bit too much, it needs remodeling

then go for it, the basic hovercraft is done for you, all u need to make is the turrets
